Novio "Calvert" Hamilton

Novio “Calvert” Hamilton, 87 of Tellico Plains, TN went home to be with the Lord while surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 17, 2023.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Earnestine Hamilton; daughter, Pamela Hamilton McJunkin; parents, Ned and Martha Hamilton; siblings, Delade Hamilton, Martha Salley, and Mary Thomas.

Calvert was a life long member of Tellico Plains Church of God, where he enjoyed teaching Sunday school. He was a retired diesel mechanic after 35 years of service from TVA and had a true passion for working on cars of all kinds. Calvert’s most treasured time was the time he had with his family and witnessing for the Lord.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Shirley Hamilton; children and spouses, Martha Miller, Paul and Patricia Hamilton, Noah Hamilton and Becky Upton, Kevin and Gayle Hamilton, Angela and Dale Hollenbeck; grandchildren and spouses Jeremy McJunkin, Beth and D.J. Cooper, Brian and Nikki Miller, Corey and Megan Hamilton, Danielle Hamilton, Dustin and Josh Hollenbeck, Chantelle Hollenbeck-Moon, Julann Faris; great-grandchildren Elijah Cooper, Tomas Baker, Mia and Ryleigh Hamilton; several nieces and nephews and cousins.

The family would like to express their gratitude to all the friends and church members for their outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Myers Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday 21, 2023 at Tellico Plains Church of God with Rev. Jerry C. Dodd officiating. Interment will follow at Unicoi Cemetery.
