Paul Edward Miller, age 85, of Sweetwater, TN, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, October 16, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah Leota and John Albert Miller; and three brothers, Charlie Ray, Richard, and Jlloyd Miller.

Paul was a member of Tellico Avenue Baptist Church in Athens, TN where he served as a deacon for many years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Peggy Loraine Miller; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Karen Miller; two daughters, Kathy Miller, and Betsy Miller (Bryan Edgmon); sisters, Peggy Coffey, and Wanda Dotson; granddaughters, Alisha Bottoms and Ashley Miller; great-grandchild, Lindsay Bottoms; special nephew, Dale Dotson; and beloved granddogs, Lily and Gracie; and several nephews and nieces and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Tellico Avenue Baptist Church in Athens, TN. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Anthony Cole officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Sweetwater Valley Memorial Park for the committal service.
