Peggy Lee Jenkins Hyatt

Peggy Lee Jenkins Hyatt, age 65, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at her home in Lenoir City while surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Frankie Lenderman Jenkins and her father, Bob Jenkins.

Peggy spent much of her time enjoying her mountains in Tellico Plains. She loved long jeep rides, snowy days and time on the Tellico River. Her favorite hobby was caring for and riding her horses over the years. She loved her family and was the proudest of her eight grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Hyatt of Lenoir City; daughters, Missy Carter and husband, Calvin and Shauna Wilson and husband, Pat all of Tellico Plains; son, Rick Hyatt of Madisonville; sisters, Sherry Woods and husband, Kenneth and Linda Rader all of Tellico Plains, Bobbie Johnson and husband, Dan of Wilson, NC; brothers, Jim Jenkins of Maryville and Jack Jenkins and wife, Beth Ann of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Bryce, Colton, Piper and Major Carter, Erin and Sydney Wilson and Cole and Peyton Hyatt; several nieces and nephews.

Peggy’s family would like to thank everyone for their love, support, thoughts and prayers during this time.

A private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
