Rachel "Joyce" Henson

Rachel “Joyce” Henson., age 65, of Tellico Plains, TN went home to be with the Lord Monday November 14, 2022.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Geneva Bowers Freeman; brothers and sister-in-law, Alvin “R.B.” and Nona “Terry” Freeman, Billy, Johnny, and Warren Freeman, sister, Bernell Freeman, and granddaughter Catrina Maggard.

Joyce was of the Pentecostal faith and attended Piney Grove Church God in the Norwood Hill community. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and sister. Joyce will forever be missed and remembered by her family and friends.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Ryan and Shauna Henson, Jeremy Henson, Michael and Brandy Henson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Velma Martin, Vergie and William Picklesimer, Carrie Stratton and Bernice and Larry Henson all of Tellico Plains; brothers and sisters-in-law, Arvil and Sue Freeman of Ellijay, GA, Carl and Kitty Freeman of Tellico Plains, Kenneth Freeman of Chatsworth, GA, Osborn Freeman of Tellico Plains; grandchildren, Summer and Cheyenne Henson, Ryan, Brian, and Christopher Henson, Storm Lynn, Sasha Maggard; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m., in the chapel. Family and friends will assemble at Myers Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20 and proceed to Piney Grove/Freeman Cemetery for the 2:00 p.m., for committal service.
