Ray E. Evans

Ray E. Evans, age 83, of Tellico Plains, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025 at UT Medical Center.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Stella Evans; sisters and brothers, Lorine Williams, Earl Evans, Murl Evans, Elsie Miller, and Norman Evans.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kathleen R. Evans, daughter, Shirley Evans; brothers and sisters, Betty Hadley, Lester Evans, Bonnie (Bob) McDowell, and Glenn Evans; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2025 at Myers Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025 in the chapel with Rev. Vernon Webb officiating. The committal service will follow at Eleazar Cemetery. Myers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
