Obituary

Rebecca (Becky) Faye Franklin, age 48, of Tellico Plains, TN was suddenly taken from this world on June 6, 2026, and now is in the arms of Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Cross; grandparents, Martha Medlin, and Robert and Dessie Cross, one of her angel babies; and seven angel grandbabies she is already holding in Heaven.

Rebecca was a faithful member of Rural Vale Baptist Church and her greatest blessings was her family and friends. She always made sure to capture each and every moment with pictures of the kids and grandbabies. Her backyard pool and the beach were her happy places. Her collection of Coach purses revealed her bougie side. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Scott Franklin; sons and daughters-in-law, Adam (Adriann) Tinsley, Aaron (Elizabeth) Davidson, Austin (Meghan) Franklin, Tyler (Alayna) Franklin, and Caleb Bivens; daughters and son-in-law, Katie (Paul) Tinsley and Abigail Franklin; her beloved grandchildren, Connor, Kensi, Seth, Bentley, Lenora, Sophie, Atlas, and Trout, whom she adored dearly; mother, Faye Cross; brother-in-law, David (Donna) Franklin; nieces, Brandi (Joe) Franklin and Ashley Franklin, and their families; many aunts, uncles, cousins and loved family friends. The family would like to extend sincere appreciation to the Monroe County EMS and Sweetwater Hospital.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Carroll Hamilton officiating. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Abigail Franklin’s college fund at Volunteer Federal Savings Bank. Your kindness and support will help honor her mother’s love and dedication to her family. Myers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
