Regina "Susanne" Norwood Edge

Regina “Susanne” Norwood Edge, age 56, of Tellico Plains, formerly of Gainesville, GA lost the battle she had fought for so many years on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.

She is preceded in death her mother, Nancy Susie Ann Clark; father, Edward Eugene Norwood; granddaughter, Allie Vinson and grandson, Mason Vinson.

Susanne was sassy, kindhearted and a superhero. Her request was to be an organ donor and her family is honoring her wishes and saying we will just keep doing the next right thing as Susanne would have done. She believed in forgiving others and never giving up. Susanne loved music, Harley Davidson Motorcycles, chihuahuas and Mickey Mouse. More than anything she loved her children and especially her grandchildren. She was a good friend, aunt, sister, daughter, granddaughter, mama, and nana. She worked hard until her health wouldn’t allow her to. We will all miss her every day, but out hope is in the day we will all be reunited in heaven once more.

She is survived by her son, Curtis Edge; daughters, Savannah Edge and Sara Edge; sisters, Donna Jones, Julie Parents, Cheryl Norwood and Janie Marsingil; brothers, Billy Joe Norwood; step-mother, Mary Norwood; aunt, Daisy Passmore; uncle, Chris Sizemore; grandchildren, Josiah Jackson, Emily and Harley Edge, James (Edge) Hutcheson, Carmen Patterson, Zackery Edge, Conner and Charlie Vinson, Elijah and Nicholas Edge; best friend/special cousin, Lisa Coggins Smith numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and good friends.

The family invites everyone to attend a celebration to honor Susanne's life on May 6th and 7th at their homeplace, food and beverages will be provided.
