Richard Allen Hembree, age 55, of Tellico Plains went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 22, 2026 with his loving family by his side.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Tersea Hembree; parents, Jonas and Margie Hembree.

Richard was a lifelong resident of Tellico Plains. He recently became a member of Howard’s Chapel Baptist Church, and was looking forward to his upcoming baptism. Above all, he was a loving father, brother, and uncle who cherished his family. His kindness, friendship, and presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son, Bill Hembree; siblings, Margreat Harris, David Hembree, Gail Lethcoe; brother-in-law, Mike Lethcoe; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Debbie Lankford; and many friends at the Howard’s Chapel Baptist Church.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday July, 18 2026 at Howard's Chapel Church at 11:00 a.m. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to everyone for their support during this difficult time.
