Roger Allen Miller

Roger Allen Miller, 61, of Tellico Plains, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Miller Hill; parents, Jessie and Rosie Miller; and step-daughter, Tabitha Turpin.

Roger was born and raised in Tellico Plains, TN. He was baptized in 1972 and became a member of Miller’s Chapel Baptist Church. Roger was a great father, grandfather, brother and friend to all that knew him. He worked as a concrete finisher for 40 plus years always working hard to provide for his family. Roger was a joy to be around and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Michael Thomas; step-children, Teigan Garren, Taran and Tanner Turpin; granddaughters, Ally, Tylie; grandsons, Elijah, Coy, Jaxon, Drake, Dalton, Draylen, Bryton, Landen, and Haiden; sister, Neva Kelly; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby Miller, Ronnie Miller, Eugene Miller, Steve and Anna Miller, James and Shawn Miller; several nieces and nephews, many special friends and family.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Kevin Miller and Spencer Coon officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2025 at Myers Funeral Home and will proceed to Miller’s Chapel Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. committal service. Special friends Chris Lynn, Allen Queen, Michael Gibson, Tim Maxwell, Lance Coon, and Toni Norris will serve as pallbearers.
