Roger Dale "Moon" Houston

Roger Dale "Moon" Houston, age 65, of Tellico Plains passed away while surrounded by his loved ones, Saturday, May 20, 2017 at UT Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Wilma Houston, two brothers, Danny and Doyle Houston, and stepchildren, Eddie Lethcoe and Joann Lethcoe.

Moon was an avid outdoorsman and loved his grandchildren and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife,Brenda Lethcoe Houston of Tellico Plains, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Denny and Tina Houston of Charleston, TN; sister and brother-in-law,Nelda and Verlin Wright of Vonore, TN; sister-in-law,Gail Houston of Madisonville, TN; grandchildren,Calab Gardner of Tellico Plains, TN,Summer Gardner of Tellico Plains, TN,Ramsey Lethcoe of Sweetwater, TN, and Brandy Lankford of GA; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law,Linda and Jessie Wimberly of Tellico Plains, TN,Jane and Ben Lynn of Tellico Plains, TN, and Cindy Taylor of Tellico Plains, TN; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law,Mark and Christine Thomas of Tellico Plains, TN and Benton Thomas of Tellico Plains, TN; several nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; special friends,Roger and Reba Cross of Tellico Plains, TN andRoss Raburn of Madisonville, TN; special nephew,Skyler Lynn of Tellico Plains, TN

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2017 at Myers Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. in Myers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mickey Payne and Rev. Carroll Hamilton officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Myers Funeral Home and proceed to Piney Grove Cemetery for the 2:00 p.m. committal service.
