Ronald James Kroes

Ronald James Kroes, age 71, of Coker Creek, TN and formerly of Howard City, MI went home to be with the Lord Thursday, May 25, 2017 at his home while surrounded by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Cobie Kroes and a sister, Marsha Foss.

Ron was a member of Ironsburg Methodist Church. He was a hardworking man who loved farming and gardening. Being a history buff, Ron enjoyed reading and spent time gold panning in his beloved Coker Creek. But most of all he loved "his" beautiful TN mountains.

He is survived by his loving wife,Merrisue Kroes of Coker Creek, TN; children,Starrlynn (Craig) Britton of West Olive, MI,Matthew Kroes of Howard City, MI andBecky Feenstra of Sand Lake, MI; grandchildren,Vennessa, Tylor, Jordan, Kyler and Sierra; great granddaughter,Audrey; sister,Judy Kwekel of Grand Rapids, MI; brother,Richard (Mary) Kroes of Cedar Springs, MI; mother-in-law,Katherine "Jane" Verheek of Coker Creek, TN; special friends,Sam and Joyce Wolfe, Jim White, Doug Dalton and Mark Taylor and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 4 p.m. at Kroes Family Cemetery with Rev. Bill Clark officiating.
