Ronald "Ronnie" Thorne, age 67, of Madisonville went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Erlanger Hospital, Chattanooga, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Idalea Thorne; a sister and a brother.

He was of the Baptist faith. After his retirement he spent time hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 17 years,Mary Baker Thorne of Madisonville, TN; son and daughter-in-law,Robert Lee and Sherrie Thorne of Sweetwater, TN; three step-daughters; three sisters; granddaughter,Latasha Harris andhis loving companions, Scruffy and Tuffy.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Myers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jay Scruggs officiating. Committal service immediately following at Baker Cemetery.
