Scott Tilghman Burroughs, age, 58 left this world and all its sorrows behind on January 26, 2025.
His love growing up was the beaches of Ocean City Maryland, Fenwick Island and Bethany Beach. He enjoyed many years of shopping on the boardwalk and looking at all the touristy junk stores. Rehoboth Beach was the “artsy fartsy” town, and Dewey Beach had a strand of bars with live music at which he played. “Look kids Candy Kitchen, Sunsations” IYKYK. Scott loved movies and trivia. Anything that you ever wanted to know about a movie, an actor, or a musician just ask Scott, he really knew it all. His life was music, every beat in his heart was to song. He was a musician; drums were his life. He travelled the country and world, meeting many people and forming several friendships along the way. His friends will miss his “BIG” personality, his smile, laughter, sense of humor and political insight. Scott was well versed and could “talk a knot off a tree”. All his family and friends will miss his art and seeing the memes and photos he created. He was always seeking knowledge and created many videos at different locations to share on his YouTube channel. He loved learning new things and teaching those things to me. We shared many adventures and I will miss that. He was always a friend to animals and grandchildren! He really enjoyed teaching Robert how to play drums, taking the children to the zoo, and buying them candy and whatever else they wanted, especially cowboy boots! He loved stomping around Washington DC. Everything from K-street, the Exorcists stairs, the Potomac, rich architecture, the Smithsonian’s, all the monuments and especially the National Mall during cherry blossom season! I was fortunate to see these things with him.
As his wife, I wish for many things. Most of all I wish and pray you have the peace and feel unconditional love that you didn’t receive here on Earth. Thank you for the memories. Forever and always your loving wife, Melissa.
A celebration of life service is being planned at a later date in Bethany Beach, Delaware. Myers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
