Scott J Sylvester

Scott J. Sylvester, 46, of Virginia Beach, VA passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 after his (2) year battle with colon cancer was sadly lost. He was born August 24, 1970, in Mount Clemens, MI. Scott was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps for 6 years serving in the Persian Gulf War between 1990 - 1992.

Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Julie Sylvester; sons, Juron and Noah; daughter-in-law, Brittany; granddaughter, Waverly; parents, Jack and Joyce Sylvester and Darrell and Patricia Coury; grandfathe, Rev. Edward Moore; siblings, Tracy Sims, Gene Bookout, Jackie Shelton, and Darrell Sylvester; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral service was held Monday, March 20, 2017 in Virginia Beach, Va.

Graveside Celebration of Life Memorial Service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Hardshell Cemetery in Tellico Plains TN, with Rev. Edward Moore officiating.
