Sherrill Anthony Witt

Sherrill Anthony Witt, age 71, a native of Coker Creek and a resident of Madisonville, TN went to his Heavenly home on Friday, December 6, 2024.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Beverly Witt; grandson, Justice Jordan; siblings, Henegar Witt, Troy Witt, Lisa Carroll Witt Dalton, Danny Witt, Henry Witt, Nancy Witt Slaton; and son-in-law, Roger Stevens.

Sherrill retired after a lifetime of construction work. He still enjoyed doing odd jobs for his family and close friends. He loved his family very much. His greatest joy was his grandchildren who affectionally called him “Poppy”. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him and his memory will be cherished forever.

He is survived by his daughters and spouse, Jessica Witt, Amy Witt Stevens and Alex Ingram, grandchildren and spouses, Kaitlin (Sylvestre), Jasmine (Jacob), Dashon (Kamiryn), Jaidan, Camryn, and Everly; great-grandchildren, Armani, Adrian, Aaliyah, and Amiyah; sister, Bernice Moore; brothers, Gerald Witt and Richard Witt; serval nieces and nephews; special friends, Joe Irons and Johhny Garrett.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Epperson Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Stewart officiating. In lieu of flowers family request memorial donations be made to Myers Funeral Home P.O. Box 132 Tellico Plains, TN 37385. Myers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
