Susan Noreen Powers

Susan Noreen Powers, age 55, of Tellico Plains went to join God Friday, February 9, 2018 at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melton and Nina Mae Brooks; two siblings; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ed and Ruth Powers and special pet, Lamb Chop.

A past employee of Woods Memorial Nursing Home, Susan loved her animals and gardening.

She is survived by her husband,Steve Powers of Tellico Plains, TN; daughter,Vicky Powers of Tellico Plains, TN; son,Matt Powers of Tellico Plains, TN; sisters,Patsy and Kenneth Gray of Madisonville, TNand Judy Donato and family of Madisonville, TN; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law,Tina and Paul Powers of Lafayette, GA,Ronnie and Pat Powers of Madisonville, TN and Terry and Amber Powers of Tellico Plains, TN; special pet, Lucy and several nieces and nephews. Brent Watson, Brandon Jones, Ethan Jones, Justin Best, Andrew Harris and Matt Powers will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2018 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. in Myers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Webb officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Myers Funeral Home and proceed to Druid Hills Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.
