Thomas Mcdaniel

"T.R." Thomas Roscoe McDaniel, age 81, of Tellico Plains, TN went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 14, 2021.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Lela McDaniel; father, Richard McDaniel; sons John McDaniel and Todd Davis.

T.R. was a member of the Tabernacle of Faith. He served his country proudly in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran in which he retired after 22 years of service. He enjoyed the simple things in life such as riding through the mountains and spending time with his family but most of all T.R. loved being with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara McDaniel; sons, Tim Jones, Clayton Davis, Randy Davis, Mike McDaniel and Bill McDaniel; daughters, Tammy Raper, Iris Jones and Shannon Rosier; brother, Richard McDaniel; sisters, Maudie Hicks and Birdie McConkey; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Myers Funeral Home. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2021 in Eleazar Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Davis officiating.
