Timothy "Tim" Ray Kirkland

Timothy “Tim” Ray Kirkland, age 63, of Tellico Plains went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 1, 2021 while surrounded by his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Junior Leon Kirkland; brothers, Michael Lee Kirkland and James Leon Kirkland.

Tim lived in Fort Worth, TX for over 30 years where he owned a Gulf Service Station named, “Kirkland’s Service”. Upon moving to Tellico Plains, to be near his family; he opened a business called “Tim’s New to You”. Tim was known for his very giving spirit and kindness towards others. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed all.

He is survived by mother, Geraldean Kirkland; sisters, Linda Massingale, Karen Brown, Tina Abernathy Ivens and Krystal Rinehart; brother, Richard Kirkland; special niece, Kristi Abernathy; special nephew, Tyler Abernathy, and several other nieces and nephews; special sister-in-law, Susan Kirkland; daughter, Tangi Eckard, of Lake Charles, LA; two grandsons, Preston Kirkland and Anthony Eckard; special friend, Carol Martin.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 5, 2021 in the chapel of Myers Funeral Home with Rev. Mickey Payne officiating. Burial to follow at Beaty’s Chapel Cemetery. No formal visitation will be held. The family request memorial donations be made to Myers Funeral Home, PO Box 132 Tellico Plains, TN 37385.
