Tina Louise Abernathy Ivens

Tina Louise Abernathy Ivens, age 57, of Tellico Plains, TN went to her heavenly home, Thursday, April 13, 2023.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Geraldean Kirkland; father, Junior Leon Kirkland, brothers, Michael Lee, James Leon, and Timothy Kirkland; and sister, Linda Massingale; and first husband, Gerald Abernathy.

Tina attended Beaty’s Chapel Church. Her life revolved around her family and the Lord. She loved singing praises about her Savior and reading God’s word. Her life was complete the day she became a Nana. Tina will forever be cherished and loved by her family and all that knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney Larry Ivens; daughter, Kristi Abernathy; sons and daughter-in-law, Brad and Lindsey Abernathy and Tyler Abernathy; sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Ray Brown and Krystal and Rick Rinehart; brother, Richard Kirkland; sisters-in-law, Susan Kirkland and Kelly Kirkland; grandson, “her sunshine”, Dane Abernathy; special friend, Kim Frank, and serval other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:30 p.m., in Myers Funeral Home Chapel with son, Rev. Brad Abernathy and Rev. Mickey Payne officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 12:00 noon, at the funeral home Wednesday, April 19, 2023 and proceed to Beaty’s Chapel Cemetery for the 1:00 p.m. committal service.
