Tony Russell

Tony E.  Russell, age 58, lifelong resident of Tellico Plains, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2019 at   Park West Hospital.  Member of Eleazar United Methodist Church, where he also taught Sunday school, Bible Study and served as a lay leader for several years. Tony enjoyed farming with his John Deere tractors and his Charolais cows, (white cows and green tractors). He also enjoyed fishing and working with his horses, and spending time with his grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Ruby Russell; brother, Joe Russell; daughter, Helen Mercado.

His survivors include his loving wife, Pati Russell of Tellico Plains, TN; daughters, Tonya Russell of Maryville, TN and Amanda Dalton of Madisonville, TN; sons and daughter-in-laws, Jamie and Hilda Dalton and J.J. and Alicia Dalton all of Tellico Plains, TN; son by heart, Greg Merrell  of Tellico Plains, TN; 10 Grandchildren; 3 Great- Grandchildren; special friends Bill McDaniel, John Ratliff, Jerry Galyon and Fred Martin and several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and more friends than you can count.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday November 11, 2019 at Myers Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in Myers Funeral Home Chapel with Preacher Jerry Gaylon and Pastor William Brickey officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 12:00 noon Tuesday November 12, 2019 at Myers Funeral Home and proceed to Eleazar Cemetery for the 1:00 p.m. committal service. Myers Funeral Home of Tellico Plains in charge of arrangements.
