Tressia Juneen Watson

Tressia Juneen Watson, age 59, of the Tellico Plains community passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023.

Tressia enjoyed quilting and loved life to the fullest. After the loss of her son, Matthew, a sadness set upon her and she never fully recovered from that heartbreaking loss.

She was preceded in death by the loves of her life, husband, Thomas Doc Watson; beloved son, Matthew Watson; parents, Johnny and Bessie Shaw; siblings, Joan Smrt, Judy Helgerson, W.R. Shaw, Wayne Shaw, Timmy Shaw, Beth Shaw, and Lesa Pacosz Nix.

She is survived by her siblings and spouses, Susan & Chuck Subel, George Shaw, Sam Shaw, John & Betsy Shaw, Frank and Elizabeth Shaw, Melanie and Bryan Dush, and Jessica Shaw; serval aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

In her memory the family asks that you make a donation to a mental health awareness foundation of your choice. We want everyone to know, that mental illness matters, keep fighting for your loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Myers Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m., at New Bethel Cemetery with Rev. Carroll Hamilton officiating.
