Violet Holder White

Violet Holder White, age 57, of Tellico Plains, went home to be with the Lord, on Monday, July 10, 2023 while surrounded by her loving family.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Franklin Williams; brother, Darrell Holder; fathers-in-law, Ed White and Jim Williams, and two unborn grandchildren.

Violet was a member of Unicoi Baptist Church where herself and Greg “Papoo” were known as the candy people to all the children. She was a wonderful mother to her two sons but, Violet had many others throughout her life that called her “Momma Violet”. She was a longtime employee of CVG National Seating where she made many life-long friends. Violet was passionate about everything she did and was well known for her free spirit. She collected anything with dragon flies on it, especially if they were purple. Violet “Baby Doll” loved her husband and the life she had built with him, as they enjoyed watching their families come together. Being a grandma was her true calling for she loved her grandbabies deeply.

She is survived by her husband, Greg “Papoo” White; sons and daughters-in-love, Jeremy and Karla “Hunny” Williams and Jason and Samantha “Sammy Jo” Williams; parents, Jerry and Louise Holder; mothers-in-law, Ruth White and Shirley Williams; brother and sister-in-law, Clifford “Big Brother” and Penny Holder; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wayne and Tish White; grandchildren, Hopey and Gemmie Lou, Andrew “Bubba” and Autumn “Sis” Williams; several  aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; best friend, Edith Bradley and countless others that she called her own.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Myers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m., in the chapel with Rev. Cotay Baxter officiating. Family and friends will assemble at Myers Funeral Home 10:00 a.m. Friday July 14, 2023 and proceed to Unicoi Cemetery for the 11:00 committal service. Myers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
