Volker Walter Massot

Volker “Walt” Walter Massot, age 70 of Tellico Plains, TN formerly of Bishop, CA, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his father, Aton Massot and Josh.

Walt retired from Carbide Tungsten Mine in CA with 20 years of service and then worked as a sales person in plumbing supplies. After moving to TN he was employed for several years at Masons Furniture and Appliance in Madisonville. He was an avid sportsman, enjoying multiple sports such as golf, bowling, waterskiing and baseball. His favorite sport was horseshoes where he was awarded the title as the #1 California State Horseshoe pitcher. Walt will be greatly missed by his loving family and all his friends.

He is survived by his wife Brenda Massot; mother. Elfie Massot; children, Rachel and Mike Brown, Becky and Jeremy Miller and Sarah Massot and special friends Kyle and Susan Oropeza; special aunt, Ursula Kobold; and cousins, Michael and Tammy and Marion and Joe; many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; several grandchildren and many friends.
