William "Bill" A. Stephens

William A. “Bill” Stephens, age 95, of Tellico Plains passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Stephens.

Bill was the oldest deacon and member of Beaty’s Chapel Baptist Church and he proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II.

He is survived by his son, Billy Stephens; and his daughter and son-in-law Donna and Lowell Burrell.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 26, 2021 at Myers Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m., Friday, in the chapel with Rev. Larry Walker officiating. Family and friends will assemble 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Myers Funeral Home and proceed to Beaty’s Chapel Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.
